Lolli's Story
Meet Lolli
Lolli is an 8-year-old, 58-lb hound mix with a gentle and affectionate nature. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, house-trained, and eager to be close to her people. She loves human companionship and gets along well with both large and small dogs. While she’s not particularly playful, she enjoys a quiet life—snuggling on the bed, relaxing nearby, and soaking up calm attention are her favorite things.

What Makes Lolli Unique
Lolli struggles with anxiety, especially around storms, fireworks, loud noises, and smoke alarms. During these times, she may pace, dig, or try to escape. She cannot be crated, as confinement triggers panic, but she does best in a stable environment where someone is home most of the time. She is currently on daily fluoxetine (Prozac), which helps manage her anxiety and must be continued under veterinary guidance.

It’s important to know that Lolli is not aggressive. Her anxiety presents as flight behavior, never aggression. With a calm, steady presence and gentle reassurance, she settles and reveals her sweet, loving personality. She is strong on leash but responds well to a harness and patient handling.

Her Ideal Home
We’re looking for a person or family who:

Has experience with anxious or sensitive dogs

Works from home or is home most of the day

Has a calm, quiet household (no cats, please)

Understands the importance of routine, structure, and patience

Having another easygoing, dog-friendly pet is a bonus, not a requirement—while Lolli doesn’t need another dog in the home, we believe she would enjoy the companionship.

Lolli has spent much of her life in a dog daycare environment and currently goes to work with me daily. She’s very comfortable in structured, dog-friendly settings. I’d be happy to arrange meet-and-greets at my workplace, where she feels safe and at ease.

What We’ll Provide
We want to make Lolli’s transition as smooth as possible. I will provide:

Her bed, leash, harness, and toys

Food, treats, and her current medication

All of her veterinary records

Ongoing support or communication if helpful—this is about finding the right fit

There is no adoption fee. Our only goal is to place her in the right home, where she will be safe, supported, and truly loved for the rest of her life.

If you or someone you know might be interested in giving Lolli the forever home she deserves, please reach out. We are happy to answer any questions, provide more information, or talk in detail about Lolli’s background, which includes some unstable situations in her past. Because of this, we’re especially hoping to find someone who can offer her the calm, consistent, and loving environment she truly needs.

Thank you so much for reading and sharing. We know the right home is out there someone who will see in Lolli what we’ve seen and give her the life she’s waited for.
