Lolita's Story
Meet Lolita!
DOB: January 2024
Weight: 53lbs
Disposition: Active, Playful, Affectionate
Good With: Children and Dogs
Favorite Things: Running, playing, and outdoor adventures

Lolita's story started under the toughest circumstances when she and her siblings, Lili and Ballita, were left outside the Manzanillo shelter in a taped-up box as newborn puppies. She has spent her entire two and a half years growing up in the shelter, but despite never having a home of her own, her sweet spirit and love for life are untouched.
Lolita is a lively, fun-loving girl whose enthusiasm for the world is contagious. A bit standoffish at first with new faces, it doesn't take long for her true personality to shine. Once she feels safe and comfortable, her playful, affectionate side takes over! She is eager to please, responds wonderfully to positive attention and training, and is ready to show a family just how smart and devoted she can be. Watching this resilient girl step out of the shelter and blossom into a confident, happy family member is going to be an unbelievably rewarding experience.

Ideal Home
Lolita would thrive with an active, loving family who can give her the guidance and attention she's waited her whole life to receive. Her perfect match includes:
An Active Lifestyle: A family that enjoys daily walks, running, games of fetch, and outdoor adventures to help burn off her healthy energy.
A Supportive & Patient Environment: An adopter willing to invest time into her continued training and confidence-building as she adjusts to life outside the shelter.
A Fun Household: She gets along great with both kids and other dogs, making her a wonderful fit for a lively home full of companionship.

Ready to show Lolita the loving home she's been waiting her whole life for? Please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adopt.

Our dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. We will happily consider out of town applications and can conduct virtual play dates with interested adopters. We have monthly transport to various locations in the Pacific Northwest, individual arrangements would need to be made for other locations across the US and Canada.

About Angeles en Camino
This dog is part of Angeles en Camino ("Angels on the Way"), a cross-border rescue mission bringing adoptable dogs from Manzanillo, Mexico, to loving homes in Southern California. Sponsored by the Mayor's Office of Manzanillo and made possible through a partnership between Animal Angels ZLO and The Barking Lot, this initiative gives vulnerable dogs a second chance at life while connecting two communities through rescue. To initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below.
