Lolita's Story
Lolita is certainly one of a kind. Shy, bashful, sexy, spontaneous, intuitive and tender are the first words that pop into my mind when describing her personality. Complex for a dog, she needs an understanding and patient owner. She is so much fun to be around, but she is a handful – a permanent puppy at heart, who may be in need of etiquette training.
Her birthday is November 17, 2005. She is beautiful, has a slight build and an interesting coat that is dark charcoal gray in color down her spine with bits of black interwoven and lighter gray on her sides, dark again at the tips of her ears and down her nose while her legs are white. Her weight is 17 lbs, maybe a little less. Her eyes are dark brown. This is an expressive dog...she speaks her own language! Quite a character.

She is adorable and fun loving, and somewhat unpredictable. While she was a puppy she developed hereditary cataracts in her eyes, and while she can see alright, she has trouble with her sight at times. She is otherwise a very healthy dog. She has separation anxiety, and is therefore most comfortable along with another pet in the household, or with an owner who is around her the majority of the time. As far as house-training, she does well when she is being supervised, but at night or if I am away from the house I put her in her crate. This reassures her, something she needs.

An owner who works from home or who is retired, and has the extra time to spend with her is an ideal candidate. She is quirky, but once you've been around her you wouldn't want her to be any other way! Loves to play, run in the yard, go for walks, and meet and play with other doggies. Her favorite thing to do is gnaw on a busy bone! Other pastimes include bird-watching and being a goof-ball.
