Lola's Story

Meet Lola!

This adorable girl came to us from our local Newark Shelter. She was found as a stray and no one came to claim her! We believe that she is a little over 1 year old and about 35 pounds. Lola has the BEST zoomies in the yard that will have you laughing until your stomach hurts! She also loves male dogs and we are working with her on female dogs and doing great! Lola can be a little hand shy if someone tries to pet her when they first walk up to her, but give her a treat and she will be jumping on you and wanting all of the attention!

Think Lola would be a good fit for your home? Fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.fatherjohns.org/adopt. You'll get an email to reply to in order to make an appointment. Appointments are required Weds/Fri. Walk ins are accepted with appointments preferred every other day.

Father John's Animal House's Adoption Policy
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website. We ask that all potential adopters do this so that we may find the perfect match that will benefit both human and pet. From there, the fastest way to set an appointment is to reply to the automated email you'll receive shortly after submitting your questionnaire. We prioritize pre-scheduled appointments but are happy to assist walk-ins between the hours of 11:00 - 3:30. If you already have a dog and are looking to adopt another, we will set up a dog intro to make sure the two pups get along. Check out our website to see our adoption fees - they vary based on the age of the animal. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and seen by our veterinarians prior to adoption.
