Lola's Story

Lola was found as a stray while pregnant in Arkansas. She ended up at a high kill shelter. We were able to get her out the very day she started to give birth to 10 beautiful pups (sadly lily the runt did not make it). Lola was skin and bones and needed lots of good nutrition herself. She has been an amazing mom to her pups but now it's time for her to be a pup and enjoy life! Lola is only about 3 yrs old. She is good with other dogs and children. She is heartworm positive and will need a home or foster that she can stay calm in through treatment. Lola can be shy at first with new people. She does better following another dog's lead and absolutely loves playing with and having another dog as a buddy in her home. She rides well in the car but is scared to get in so needs to be lifted, she is also fearful on lead without another dog to follow (she'll lay flat on the ground and not move). Lola is close to 80 lbs so it can be difficult to carry her.

She is house broken but needs a crate or pen when left unattended as she may chew things she shouldn't (not furniture but has been known to grab a stuffed toy or two). Lola is used to having a fenced yard to potty and play in. She loves to cuddle and sleeps in bed at night. Lola gives the best hugs and definitely doesn't realize she's a big dog (being a lap dog would suit her best lol).

If interested in adopting please email kobemnstr@hotmail.com for an application
