She is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with. She has even learned to play tug nicely with another puppy in her foster home.<br/>We recommend a home without cats for Lola. She is very interested in them and tends to follow and mouth at them. Her behavior appears playful rather than aggressive, but it can be stressful for cats—even those accustomed to dogs.<br/>Like many young dogs who simply weren't taught manners early in life, Lola can be mouthy and likes to jump when she gets excited. She may also grab at ankles or legs during play. It's all part of her enthusiastic puppy play style, and she would benefit from an adopter willing to continue teaching her appropriate ways to play and greet people.<br/>Lola is crate trained and house trained. Her energy level is medium to high: she's always happy to start a game, but after she's gotten some energy out, she's equally content to settle into quieter play or chew on a favorite toy.<br/>When Lola first arrived, she wasn't always comfortable sharing certain high-value chew toys, particularly Nylabones. She has made great progress, and her foster hasn't seen any recent disagreements over toys. She is now regularly playing and interacting nicely with the other dogs in the home.<br/>Lola does have a seizure disorder and will need lifelong medication and routine veterinary monitoring to make sure her medication continues to control her seizures appropriately. This will be an important commitment for her adopter, but her seizures don't define her.<br/>Otherwise, Lola is a normal, happy young dog who loves to play, loves other dogs, and is still learning how to be the best girl she can be. She just needs a family willing to continue giving her the structure, patience, and love she deserves.
