Lola's Story

4 year old Lola is a survivor. She was pregnant and living on the side of a river, and surviving from scraps from a stranger. Eventually a kind stranger managed to get her and her puppies into shelter. Lola is a beautiful Mexican special mix – her pups look like small black labs – she may be a shepherd x terrier x lab mix weighing 45 lbs. She’s her own mix of very special girl. Lola is lower energy, but spins in excitement if you might be so kind to toss her a ball, or when her dinner is ready. Lola is careful with strangers at first but also VERY affectionate. Lola isn’t keen to go far – she prefers the safety of her yard space. Who can blame her for worrying that she could be on the street again. She is looking for a quiet loving home where she will be the centre of the universe. She is healthy, spayed and vaccinated.

Flight options available to BC and Alberta (at no additional cost). She is healthy, spayed and vaccinated. If you think you might be a fit for her forever home, or as a foster on the way, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Please check your junk mail for our response.
onse.

PVCA Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our sister organization, the SPCA Puerto Vallarta, has a sanctuary, staff, trainer and medical team who work with the dogs and cats until they are deemed "adoptable". Once they pass their health exams, which include blood tests which certify they are able to cross borders, they are transported to Canada and/or the United States and enter foster or permanent homes. All our animals come sterilized, and fully vaccinated and dewormed. Our organization relies on the caring volunteers who open their homes and foster the animals until they are adopted. We do not have a sanctuary or shelter in Canada or the United States. Visits must be arranged and we prefer an adoption application to be filled out and approved before visitation.

Our Mission
We are a committed group of volunteers who are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of neglected, abused, and abandoned animals. Primarily, all of our rescued animals come from the streets of Mexico.
