Lola's Story
Meet Lola

Lola is a shy, sweet, loving senior girl who is simply looking for a quiet forever home to spend her golden years.

She came to us as an owner surrender with her friend Gizmo. The noise, the chaos - it was all a bit too much for a gentle senior soul. While shelter staff care deeply for every dog, we all know it's not the ideal place for an older girl who just wants peace and comfort.

So we moved her to foster - and that's where she truly began to shine.

In foster, we learned that Lola is:

House trained

Crate trained

Gentle and funny

A world-class cuddler

When that foster had a change in their living situation, Lola moved to another foster home - and we learned even more wonderful things about her.

She does well with:

Infants

Small dogs

Dogs her size

She also knows her basic commands and has been working on leash manners. Lola loves crawling under a cozy blanket and snoozing for hours. It's truly her happy place.

So why hasn't she been adopted?

Lola doesn't make the best first impression. Because she's shy, she doesn't immediately connect with new people in busy shelter settings or at events. She needs a little time. A little patience. A second look.

But once she feels safe? She is incredibly loving and loyal.

Lola is an easy, low-key older gal just looking for a calm, quiet home where she can finally exhale and know she's there to stay.

Could you be the person who looks past the first meeting and gives this sweet senior the forever she deserves? Meet Lola
Lola is a shy, sweet, loving senior girl who is simply looking for a quiet forever home to spend her golden years.
She came to us as an owner surrender with her friend Gizmo. Gizmo was adopted months ago... and Lola is still waiting.
At 9 years old, Lola still has so much love left to give.
When she first arrived at the shelter, it was clear she wasn't settling in like many of the other dogs.
