Lola's Story
Lola recently came to us after their beloved dad was facing a terminal illness. Knowing he wouldn't be able to care for them much longer, he made the incredibly difficult but selfless decision to surrender them so she could find a safe, loving home for the rest of their lives. Lola is still settling in, but one thing is already clear, they are both incredibly sweet and easygoing.💓

Lola is 16 years old and about 10 lbs, but she still has plenty of personality. She absolutely loves mealtime and treats and will do the cutest little happy dance when she gets excited! Lola has an enlarged heart with a 4/6 heart murmur and only four teeth left, but that doesn't stop her from enjoying life (especially snacks!). She also has a few fatty lumps and could benefit from some gentle weight management.

Despite everything she has been through, Lola is affectionate, gentle, and happy to soak up love. She enjoys the simple things in life -- cozy naps, treats, and being close to their people! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

https://longwayhome.org/apply

❤
Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.
