Loki's Story
Meet Loki

This sweet senior had been with our rescue partner in Texas for months. He needed to get off the hard kennel floor and into a warm soft dog bed and a human lap! We just had to get him out of there. His previous owner had died so our rescue partner took him in. He is looking for a home of his own.

Basics: He is a neutered male guessed to be around 14 yrs old and weighs close to 12lbs. He is currently in a foster home in Kansas City, MO FYI: He has never been fixed but they never dropped and the vet in TX said at this point there was no need

Adoption Process:
- STEP 1: Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application
- One of our team members will get back to you via phone.
- Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding
- Adoption fee is $100. It helps to cover transport costs, vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip.
-We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.

About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports. Please donate if you can. Every dollar adds up and we are grateful for any help we can get: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/DayoftheDogs
