Loki's Story
**If interested, please do not send us a message through PetFinder. Instead, please go to our website to fill out an application: www.projectpawsdogrescue.com**

Loki is a 9 year old chi mix, he came to us from London animal services. This little guy was found abandoned with a senior cat (the senior cat was adopted ❤️). Loki seems to have been moved around a lot since his owner passed away (which was tracked through his microchip).

Loki would make a great companion to a calm single or two person household. Loki absolutely loves to cuddle and get as much attention as possible, but he is also fine when left home alone. As sweet as Loki is, he really gets grouchy when asked to do something he prefers not to do! He will give a warning growl to let you know. Loki also seems to be possessive of his toys, he does get them but only when he is baby gated to his own space. For this reason, Loki is looking for an adult-only home.

Loki is currently doing fine with the other small dogs in the home; he is very indifferent with the other dogs.

We are not currently crating him him as it causes too much stress. He is, however, baby gated off to a section of the home when left alone. Loki is housetrained and eats breakfast and dinner at meal times. Loki also loves to sleep under a blanket!

Loki has had a dental, he is neutered and microchipped. Loki has a yeast build up we are working on that is causing him to be itchy—it’s substantially better now and we anticipate it won’t be a problem so long as it's monitored. Medicated baths are helpful if it starts again. Loki has a significant heart murmur; he is on heart meds as well as thyroid medication. He will need more bloodwork in a few months to see where he is at regarding the thyroid medication.

Loki is overall such a sweet guy who can get a little grumpy when things aren’t going exactly his way. He is mostly very tolerant and what he won’t tolerate, he does let you know. Just a typical chihuahua type of guy. If you are looking for a cuddly little dog and have a calm household, Loki might be your guy!
