Logan Alaskan Malamute Gettysburg, PA

Logan's owner was in a bad car accident. Sadly, Logan's human was unable to care for him anymore so he came to us as an owner surrender. Logan has lived most of his life sheltered. He has some separation anxieties and wants to be where you are most of the time. When excited, Logan will bark and jump up. He is gentle about it and we are working on keeping him calm. Generally, he does really well but really wants to be in a home with a family. He needs time to warm up to strangers and would do well with kids over 16 years old. He also does better with women than men and would do best as an only dog in the home. He loves to play with balls and squeaky toys. He will chase a tennis ball and bring it back to you but hasn't mastered the "give it back yet". Logan walks well on a leash and does not pull. Just watch out for cats because they are exciting. Logan enjoys sitting and laying down. He also enjoys belly rubs if you have a treat for him of course. He loves rewards-based training!

CHAAMP accepts applications ONLY from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC. The information on your application will help CHAAMP determine which of our dogs is a good match for you and your family, based upon your lifestyle, other pets, etc. A home visit is required prior to all adoptions. Many of our dogs are fostered in private homes and cannot be visited until you have been approved for adoption.

ADOPTION FEES
~Adult dogs, the fee is $275.00
~Older dogs (eight years old or over) the adoption fee is $100.00
~Puppies between 6 months and 1 year are $350.00
~Puppies under 6 months old are $375.00

All dogs are microchipped, spayed, and neutered and up to date on vaccines. These fees help us cover these costs. The rates are higher for puppies because they require more visits to the vet and shots.
