Lobo's Story
Meet Lobo! He’s a sweet boy who is around 6 years old and 60 lbs. We think he’s probably a hound mix of some sort.

Lobo used to have an owner but was ultimately left to fend for himself on a property. We met him several years ago after he was attacked by tejones (coatis), and we took him in and helped him recover. The owner is selling the property he was living on with no regard for Lobo’s well being, and he had to be moved. He’s under our care now and ready to find a forever family. Here’s what we think that looks like:

- People who will spend lots of time with him and take him on adventures
- A comfortable indoor space for him to sleep—he loves to be outside but he must not be kept as an outdoor dog
- A secure (fenced) yard with space for him to relax and explore
- Training as needed to build a relationship and help him understand boundaries and expectations

Lobo loves spending time with people. While he has lived outside for as long as we have known him, he seems housetrained and relaxes easily inside a home. He tends to pull on the leash when walking and will need some training to help with that. Lobo is good with dogs and would also be fine in a home with kids. He has not been cat tested but we think he might chase cats and other small animals. We could cat test him if a potential adopter requires it.

Lobo is neutered and fully vaccinated. If you’re interested in adopting him, please complete our application form to share details about your family and home.

NOTE: Lobo is undergoing treatment for heart worm and will be ready to travel around March/April. He can travel to Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle, or Portland for the right family.
