Lobi's Story

Meet Lobi! Big Boy, Big Adventure Buddy!

Male | 50lbs | 8 months | Neutered and UTD on shots | From Cayman Islands | Good with dogs and older dog savvy children

Background:

Lobi was rescued with help from our rescue partners in the Cayman Islands and made his freedom flight to Toronto in February where he has settled into his foster home and is excited to find his perfect furever family!

Personality:

Lobi is an outgoing, affectionate pup who makes friends wherever he goes. He greets people with a wagging tail and plenty of enthusiasm (sometimes in the form of a full-on “hug”!), and he loves spending time with dogs his size. He’s playful, social, and always ready to engage, but he also has a gentle, intuitive side that really sets him apart. He’s wonderfully in tune with people’s emotions and has a calm, comforting presence when it matters most. At home, his goofy personality shines—whether he’s dropping toys into your lap to start a game or proudly carrying sticks on walks. He’s grown more independent over time but will always be happiest close to his people.

Ideal Home:

Lobi is looking for a home where he can be part of everyday life. He’d do best with someone who is around often, as he truly loves companionship. He’s adaptable enough for apartment or house living as long as he gets enough exercise, though a fenced yard would be a bonus for playtime. Because he’s still a big, enthusiastic puppy, he’d be best in a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids (12+). He isn’t suited for homes with cats or small animals, and while he enjoys other dogs, he may thrive best as the only pet or with a well-matched dog his size.

Training & Activity:

Lobi is a smart, eager learner who already knows a wide range of commands and has great manners for his age—he’ll even wait patiently for his food until released. He’s fully house-trained and sleeps soundly in his crate at night (sometimes putting himself to bed!), while daytime crating is still improving but going well. He loves staying active and would make an amazing walking, hiking, or even running partner. While he can still get a little excited at the start of walks or around squirrels, he’s made great progress and continues to improve. With daily exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation, he settles into a calm, cuddly companion by evening—ready to relax right by your side.

Summary:

Lobi is the total package: fun, loving, and full of potential. He’s ready to find his family who can be the center of his world!

NOTE: All adoption applicants must be residents of Ontario, Canada to be considered.

Ready to give Lobi the forever home he deserves and a second chance at happiness?

Apply now: http://seapawsrescue.org/adoptionApplication.html

Sea Paws Rescue's Adoption Policy
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. All adult members of the household must attend the adoption interview. We prefer that applicants have lived at their current address for at least three months. This is to make sure that owners have had time to settle into their new surroundings, and provides stability for the new pup who themselves have already undergone multiple changes in a short time. Because young puppies require intensive training and care, we do not place puppies younger than 8 weeks of age in a home. Because of potential behavior/training concerns, we are very cautious when placing young pets in homes with children under the age of five. If applicants have another animal at home, they must introduce the animals properly. We want to make sure that their animal is happy with their selection and that the transition for both animals' will be relatively smooth. All adopters must take the animal to a veterinarian within one week of adoption as Sea Paws Rescue (SPR) does not screen for all diseases including, but not limited to, tick fever and heartworm. All further examinations and immunizations from the date of the adoption are at the adopter’s own expense. SPR makes no health guarantees or warranties. All adopters must understand that there will be an adjustment period and their pet may experience behavioural and/or health issues related to the change in environment. Adopters must seek professional assistance from a trainer and/or licensed veterinarian if they have concerns about issues related to the adjustment period. If at any time, for any reason, a SPR adopter decides not to keep their animal, they agree to return the animal back to a Sea Paws Rescue representative. Under no circumstance will the adopter surrender a SPR animal to a local shelter. In the event of a rehoming, no part of the adoption fee will be reimbursed.
