Lluvia's Story

Lluvia was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico where she was a stray, which are called "satos" on the island. She is believed to be approximately 1-3 years old and fully grown at ~17 pounds.

Lluvia has the sweetest temperament and personality. Lluvia brings the best of everything into your life. She is a huge snuggle bug and loves being curled up next to you on the couch and with you throughout the day. She also enjoys going for walks/hikes, and she does great walking in a harness & on leash. Lluvia has been on several car rides and does great! She doesn't seem to be much of a barker and is pretty quiet within the home!

She is currently being fostered with a large breed dog (female) and 2 cats (male & female), all of which she gets along with great. She enjoys play time with her dog friend, and she has not shown any aggression towards the cats nor tries to chase. She is not at all reactive. Just as she loves snuggle time with her humans, she also will snuggle with one of the cats and the dog in her foster home.

Lluvia has done great with all adults and kids that she has met. She is being fostered in a home with a young child (age 7) and has not shown any aggression or behavior concerns with interaction and loves to play! She has not been exposed toddlers/babies.

She is fed at the same time as her other housemates (the 2 cats and dog) and has not shown any food aggression during meal time to the other animals or her foster family. Her foster mom has also been able to take away food/bully sticks without any growling or snapping.

Lluvia is "mostly" potty trained at this time but will need continued work with her new family. When she joined her foster family at the beginning of March she was not potty trained, and has already shown significant change! She requires frequent trips outside as she is still learning, but has had minimal accidents inside.

If you are looking to add another small furry friend to your family, look no further than Lluvia! She is such an amazing young dog that can't wait to be your new best friend!

Lluvia is currently being fostered in Northwest CT.

**She will be at an adoption event Saturday 3/14/26 @ Beacon Barkery from 11am-2pm if you would like to come and meet her!**
Address: 190 Main Street, Beacon NY 12508.
