Lizzy-ADOPTED's Story

Lizzy is a 28# terrier mix that the vet estimates to be between 1 & 2 years old. But Lizzy is still all puppy - she is the happiest, most friendly dog that her foster mom has met in a long time. She loves to play with both people & other dogs and even occasionally tries to include the cats (they aren't having any of it). Lizzy loves to scamper around the house, always checking back with people to see if they need a kiss, which she is eager to provide. It is amazing that she is so loving because Lizzy's early life was one of neglect. She was rescued from a rural shelter and whoever her original owner was gave her no more care than just food & water. She came to foster care with a bad case of worms & heartworm, Lizzy's worms are now gone, she has been spayed and will be treated for her heartworm the week of 9/21. In the meantime, Lizzy is working on her housetraining - she has already mastered the crate-training - and is enjoying life. This 'never-met-a-stranger' little girl would do well in a number of home situations. If you are looking for a dog to bring happiness and love to your home, please call or e-mail for more information.
