Lizzie - never met a stranger's Story

Please let us introduce Lizzie! This sweet girl has been shuffled around a bit through no fault of her own. Thankfully, she is now receiving plenty of TLC in foster care while waiting for a forever home of her own.

Lizzie is one year old and weighs in at 50 pounds. Our best guess regarding her breed is some type of terrier (or poodle), mixed with Chocolate Lab - or possibly some Aussie. Whatever her breed, she's a delightful, happy girl who never met a stranger. Her nub tail and cute beard are adorable!

Lizzie is learning all the "house dog" rules. She's basically a quiet pup, but will alert her foster mom when she needs to go out. She "kennels up" nicely with a little treat in hand and sleeps through the night in her crate. She needs some help with leash walking as she tends to pull, but this people-pleaser will learn the ropes quickly with training and a regular exercise routine. She rides well in the car.

Lizzie is a happy, medium energy girl who greets everyone she meets joyfully. She gets along nicely with other dogs and loves to romp with those in her foster home. She also enjoys solitary playtime with toys. She will lie down and entertain herself with a chew toy, and loves cuddling with her foster mom. In an experienced, nurturing home, this darling pup will be a fantastic companion and family member. She has not be observed around children; however, considering her friendly nature, we believe she'd thrive in a home with older kids. There isn't a mean bone in her body, but her enthusiastic personality would likely overwhelm a toddler.

Lizzie is spayed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations. All this sweet girl needs is a loving, patient family that will be committed to helping her become all that she can be. If you'd like to give Lizzie the happily ever after that she deserves, please email Chris at rescue3@earthlink.net for an application. Her adoption fee is $400.
