She currently lives at her rescuer's home with several other dogs and does very well as part of the pack. She has had positive experiences around children while out on walks. At just 2 years old, Lizzy is young and active and loves getting out for her daily walks. Once the fun is over, though, she is equally happy to settle down and relax at home. She walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and is a great passenger in the car. Lizzy is friendly, adaptable, and ready to become someone's beloved companion. Whether it's joining you for walks and adventures or curling up for a quiet day at home, she is simply happy to be included.

Lizzy's Ideal Home

Lizzy would thrive in a loving home where she can truly be part of the family. She would enjoy a family that likes daily walks, outdoor adventures, and spending time together, while also appreciating her ability to relax and enjoy quieter moments at home. She could be happy with another friendly dog or as the only dog, as long as she receives plenty of love, attention, exercise, and companionship. Although she has never lived with children, she has behaved very well around kids she has encountered at the park. More than anything, Lizzy deserves stability, love, and a family of her own—a home where she can enjoy adventures, cuddles, and all the wonderful things that come with finally belonging.

Lizzy's Rescue Story

Lizzy's story began when she was just 3 months old. She was found roaming the streets in an impoverished area on the outskirts of Guadalajara, Mexico. The tiny puppy was covered in fleas and desperately needed help. Thankfully, her rescuer saw her and didn't hesitate. Lizzy was taken to the veterinarian and, with medical care, nutritious food, patience, and plenty of love, she made a full recovery. She grew into the beautiful, happy, and loving girl she is today. Lizzy has spent her life knowing safety and kindness thanks to her rescuer, an elderly woman with an incredible heart for animals. As Lizzy has grown into a young and energetic dog, however, providing the activity and care she needs has become increasingly difficult for her rescuer. Now it's time for the next chapter of Lizzy's story. Her rescuer gave her a second chance when she needed it most, and we hope a wonderful family will now give her the forever home she has been waiting for.

Ready for Her Journey to the PNW

Lizzy is currently waiting in Mexico and needs a committed family before she can travel to the Pacific Northwest.

Adoption fee: $650

Interested in giving Lizzy her chance at forever?

Apply through northwestwagrescue.org
