Lizzie's Story
Lizzie is an older gal (5+ years) who deserves a soft warm bed, lots of love, and all the finer things in life. She had a rough life on the streets before we rescued her. She refused to get out of the van when we tried to return her to her home, so she stayed with us! And she's just the most grateful dog for her new life. She's so thankful to be inside and safe. She does well in a home environment and deserves a nurturing place to hang out. She enjoys sniffing and exploring outside, but she really doesn't ask for much - just a cozy spot or two to lay down! She seems to be house trained and will spend most of her time napping on comfortable beds. She doesn't really like thunder storms, so her new person(s) will need to understand how to help her feel safe and secure. Lizzie gets along with other dogs, although she prefers older, more mellow dogs like herself (another chill male dog would be her ideal). Kids and cats are unknown. She travels well in the car and would enjoy a pupacino or two!

We go through an interview and application process that includes a veterinarian reference and a home check. We try to find the best fit!
