She is doing well and is now ready to find a loving forever family.

Meet Liza

Liza is about a 1-year-old Lab/Cattle Dog mix (best guess) who is looking for a second chance. She was originally found as a stray and brought to a shelter in Arkansas before getting the opportunity to travel to Wisconsin for a fresh start.

Liza is described as incredibly sweet and friendly. She loves people and has a gentle, affectionate personality that makes her easy to love. She also does well with other dogs and seems to enjoy their company.

Because Liza came in as a stray, not much is known about her past. It’s unclear if she has had any formal training yet, so she may need help with things like crate training, potty training, and leash manners. With patience, structure, and love, she should settle nicely into a home routine.

Liza has not yet been tested with cats or kids, but based on her sweet and friendly nature, she will likely do well with respectful children.

Liza at a glance
Age: About 1 year
Gender: Female
Weight: 40 lbs
Breed: Lab / Cattle Dog mix (best guess)
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Potty Trained: Not sure
Crate Trained: Not sure
Leash Manners: Working on it
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Not yet tested
Good with Kids: Not yet tested, but likely yes

Liza has made the journey to Wisconsin and is ready to find the loving home she deserves.

If you are interested in adopting Liza, please apply today:
www.muttlife.org
________

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption.
__________

Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply!

https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies
_________

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.

4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.

5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.

6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $125 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.

**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
