Liza's Story

In the movie, My Fair Lady, Eliza Doolittle is a young girl who sells flowers in the slums. With a lot of attention from Henry Higgins, she learns to speak properly and become a lady. If you remember one of the songs from the movie, Henry Higgins slowly becomes "accustomed to her face". Our new Rescue resident is named Liza and she was found as a stray, scared and with an ear infection plus an infestation of fleas. She is about seven years old, a mature and calm lady with an adorable smile and a long life to live. Liza walks nicely on a leash and she knows basic commands. She is currently living in a kennel, getting her ears treated and receiving as good a grooming as Eliza received when she left the slums. A kennel is not a place for a middle aged lady so we are hoping that someone soon has a place in their heart and in their home for her. When that happens, you'll also become accustomed to her face!

Please visit http://www.coastalgsrsd.org/ to learn more about our dogs.
