Little Bit's Story

Stella was found wandering down a busy road and a nice lady picked her up and took her to the shelter. We have no idea where's she been, who had her, but we do know that they lost a very sweet little girl. Stella was possibly a hunting dog and then someone just abandoned her as she got older. She absolutely loves her toys, she gathers them, talks to them, lays on them and will growl lightly at other dogs if they try to take away. She uses the dog door to go outside and potty and gets along with other dogs. She's approx 8 years old and is a total sweetheart. Potential adopters must fill out the online application first, no phone calls accepted until this process is complete. Adopters must have a fenced in backyard or rural acreage. We want to make our adoptions as easy as possible, as we want our dogs in homes and not living in kennels, but we also want to make sure our decision on their forever home will be a permanent, loving and safe environment. Rescue dogs have had disappointments already in their short lives and we want their 2nd chance to be our best choice.
