Linus's Story

Linus is a midsize teenage male dog. When he first came into the shelter, he was sensitive to his environment and afraid but after working with the behavior team he has made great strides in his socialization. Since he has worked with the behavior team, he is behavior team show. The behavior team likes to show off his new skills.<br/><br/>From his foster "He relaxed into a new home immediately. Within the first hour he was approaching me for affection and instigating play with my resident dog. He gained more confidence every day and really thrived at home. He's very sweet and affectionate and playful. He has great recall- he always comes right away when I say his name, even if I'm out of sight. He barely barked while I had him, mostly when I put him in crate and left the room. He got more and more comfortable in his crate and went it more easily as the week went on. He slept in it all night in my bedroom. Soft music helps him calm down and go to sleep pretty quickly"<br/>Linus is a great smaller dog. He prefers a home without small/young children. He is currently with his adoption ambassador, Leslie. If you are interested in learning more or meeting with Linus, please email Leslie at booknerd@duck.com.
