Linus's Story
Hi there! My name is Linus!

I joined the rescue last winter with my 3 sisters. We came from the streets of Texas so we had to learn how to fend for ourselves at a young age. I am slowly getting the ropes of living in a loving foster home.

I’m a little shy around new people and things, but I do come out of my shell. It will take a little bit of time for me to gain confidence and feel safe in a new home.

I am a very sweet and smart boy though. I get along with other dogs and cats. My foster family is teaching me how to walk on a leash, go for car rides, and how to be a goofy puppy!

We are not sure what my specific breed is but we’re guessing some type of lab mix. I am approximately 7-8 months old too!

If you are interested in me, please fill out an application online at https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/.

My adoption fee is $650 but that includes ongoing support post-adoption, up to date medical, and training support during my transition period!

If you have any questions about Linus or our rescue, please email us at hello@laststoprescue.org

-------------------- About our process and fees---------------------

Our application: https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/

If you're interested in donating, sponsoring or volunteering please visit us at www.LastStopRescue.com or follow us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Laststoprescue.il!

We treat these dogs as individuals with needs and to that end all of our dogs will have been in fosters no less than two weeks, they will have at least started training if not attend weekly classes and get daily training at home with the fosters!

Which means our longest residents will be the best trained, as long as they're with us we're going to keep socializing and working through any issues they may have.

When you adopt from us you will have a very clear picture of the dog you're meeting and on going support!

Our Fees are as follows:
Senior dogs over 7 are $450
Adult dogs are $650
Puppies under 1 year are $800
Specific breeds are $900

With each adoption you will be...
1. Given up to four hours of free training (from the foster and coordinator),
a. Some dogs require additional free training hours before they can go home.
2. Full medical report of all findings,
3. All of the supplies needed for a new dog as we attain these for the care of each dog,
4. A full run down on their behavioral status, where they started, where they are and how far is left to go. This will be detailed in a training plan from us about what they can or cannot handle well and it will be discussed as much as needed!
5. On going support post adoption as long as needed!
We fully vet all of our dogs which is reflected in our adoption fee. On average we will pay about 600 dollars in medical per dog. Every dog gets a full blood panel, fecal/urine check, heartworm & tick panel and treatment if required, spayed/neutered, all shots and boosters, along with anything specific to their needs.
