Linden Brooklyn (CONC-A-86)'s Story

DOB: 02/07/2022
Intake Date: 4/02/2022

Linden's a little over three years old and has spent almost all that time with us — not because he’s been overlooked, but because he’s waiting for someone who truly understands him.

He’s a solid 60 pounds (with some extra padding, if we’re being honest), and while he might look like a typical goofy shelter dog, Linden carries a story that’s shaped who he is. He was adopted as a young puppy, then returned when his fearfulness with strangers became too overwhelming for his new home. Since then, we’ve become his world — the staff and volunteers he sees every day have become his family.

With us, Linden is all heart. He’s playful, goofy, and deeply affectionate. He lights up when he sees the people he knows. He leans into you for love, chases toys with enthusiasm, and has a personality that’s both sweet and soulful. But for Linden, strangers are scary — and instead of running, he tries to protect himself. He’s not a dog who opens up easily. But when he does, it’s real. It’s lasting. And it’s worth every minute it takes to get there.

Linden needs a very specific home — one without children or other pets, and one that’s calm, quiet, and low-traffic. He also needs someone who’s willing to show up for him again and again, through multiple meet-and-greets, to help build that bridge of trust. It won’t be instant, but it will be meaningful.

Linden may not be for everyone — but for someone, he’ll be everything. If you’re patient, consistent, and believe that every dog deserves a real shot at a real home, Linden is waiting. He has so much love to give. He just needs someone willing to see him for who he is — and love him because of it.

If you think you can provide Linden with the perfect home, please call (704) 784 7387 to schedule an appointment. This handsome guy can't wait to meet his forever family and share all the joy and love he has to offer.
