Linda and Bonita's Story
Meet Linda and Bonita! They are available for adoption together and are currently being fostered in Surrey. ??

Linda ( 4 year old momma) and Bonita (her 3 year old daughter) are a bonded pair from Hualtulco, Mexico. They were rescued by our wonderful Mexican partner Cheryl Sortwell. Mom weighs 9 lbs and Bonita weighs 7 lbs.

Little Bonita is spry, extroverted, curious, and loves people. Linda is more of a reserved lady and approaches more cautiously, but she is warm and snuggly. She loves pets and to lay on your lap. Both girls are gentle and loving. Mom Linda gets nervous when Bonita takes off out of sight on one of her adventures and anxiously goes looking for her to make sure she's not getting up to trouble!

Bonita is spry and can leap up onto the couch and bed with the agility of a deer. Yet her Mom Linda is of a more "stocky" build, she could stand to lose a couple of pounds. She is not as agile as her daughter and might need your help getting up and down from higher places.

Both seem to get along fine with other dogs, although they bark from a distance when seeing other doggies outside. Other than that, they are both very quiet. We have not seen them interact with cats, but they were both completely indifferent being face to face with cats through the window at PetSmart ?

They both show no food aggression, and love treats - momma more than baby. Linda particularly enjoyed her first pup cup!

They prefer to sleep in the Fosters bed and are quiet. They don't intrude on your space, love to sleep in, and don't snore.

They love their 11 year old foster sister and would be good with calmer older children in the home. Loud noises and sudden movements still scare them.

They are not used to walking on leash and will need some training and patience in that regard. Being used to warm weather, they do not enjoy the wet and cold. For that reason, we would recommend they have access to a yard for quick bathroom breaks. They are also being pee pad trained by their foster, which is progressing well.

The girls have been totally vetted. They have been
-spayed
-vaccinated
-dewormed
-microchipped
-given flea tick meds
-given a 4 dx test

We are a BC Non Profit Society based in Surrey. We offer a two week trial adoption and meet Island adopters at the Tswassassen ferry terminal.

A leash, collar, harness and a dog coat is included with each adoption. Here is our adoption application for Linda and Bonita!

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1FBBeuXIcZ96Hj5y5cRHAnrYte4nB4jucMxN29LUb1Ig/
