Lincoln (Reduced Rover)'s Story

REDUCED ROVER ALERT
Meet Lincoln - a gentle soul with a passion for napping and an addiction to snacking!

Lincoln has been in rescue for almost two years now, patiently waiting for his forever person to find him. Lincoln is a mellow fellow, at around 5 years old and 70lbs, he is an absolute couch potato, the most couchy of potatoes you will likely ever find. Sure he enjoys the occasional stroll around the neighborhood, providing the weather is juuuust right, but really he would rather be napping. He isn't fussy....he likes to nap on the couch, in his crate, on a dog bed, in your (his) bed, in the car, in the sun, in the shade, really anywhere will do! There is one thing Lincoln likes more than napping, and will happily stop napping for, and that's snacks! Again he isn't fussy....he likes dog biscuit snacks, cheese snacks, chicken snacks, strawberry snacks, blueberry snacks, carrot snacks, cucumber snacks, celery snacks, really any snacks will do!

While Lincoln is friendly with other dogs and happily goes on walks with his canine foster siblings (though he would rather be napping), he'd prefer to be the only pet in the home. He's nervous of the chaos that kids bring to a home, so an adult-only home is where he will thrive!

Lincoln is truly a special dog - the amount of love he has for his people, despite his past, is both heartbreaking and amazing. If you enjoy spending time at home or in your garden and are looking for unquestioning loyalty and companionship, without the stress and worry of having to exercise and entertain an energetic dog, then Lincoln may just be perfect for you, and you may be perfect for Lincoln!

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
