His luck had turned around when he found what was supposed to be his forever home; then in January of this year, tragedy struck. Lincoln is now in the loving care of BBRH, where we've come to know him as the gentle, sweet, steadfast companion he truly is. At 10 years old, he's looking for something simple but profound: a very special human and a loving home to call his own. He's the whole package!, he just doesn't want any of them near his food bowl while he's eating.Within two weeks, Lincoln has mastered using the dog door and reliably does his business outside, proving you CAN teach an old dog new tricks! <br/><br/>After a thorough veterinary checkup, we learned that Lincoln has a heart murmur that requires daily medication for the rest of his life. The good news? He's responding very well to treatment. His ideal forever home will have limited stairs to keep things easy on him, a dog door for convenient bathroom breaks, and most importantly, a dedicated person who will ensure he gets his daily medication, monthly heartworm treatment, and lots of snuggles and cuddles.<br/><br/>Lincoln's needs are simple and manageable, and in return, you'll get a loyal companion who knows the true value of second and third chances.
