His life began with immense challenges: he was part of a litter of six who sadly lost their mother at just one week old. Tragedy struck again when the entire litter contracted distemper, and Lincoln became the sole survivor of his brave siblings.

Lincoln was adopted out and had a family for over a year. He exceled in the home environment. Unfortunately through no fault of his own he was brought back when his adopter had a living arrangement change.

Despite the difficult start, Lincoln is an incredibly happy and resilient pup. He does have some lasting after-effects of the distemper—he “grooves with the music like Ray Charles,” moving with a unique and endearing rhythm that only adds to his charm. This energetic boy loves life, spending his days happily playing with his canine friends and chewing enthusiastically on all his favorite toys.

Lincoln is looking for an active person or family that can keep up with him! He needs an environment where he can get plenty of exercise, engage in training, and channel his lively energy in positive ways.

If you are looking for a loyal, spirited companion who embodies the meaning of resilience, Lincoln is the dog for you.

To schedule a meeting with this remarkable boy, please complete an application on our website: www.adoggie4you.org

This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. A Doggie 4 You's Adoption Policy
All dogs and puppies are fully vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, rabies, 3 DHpp, Bordetella and heartworm test/treat if positive). Potential adopters fill out an application, if it passes, they adopt the animal at a fee Our adoption fees start at $200. Fees are based on the age, sex, breed and at times the vet bills associated with the dog. The adoption fee on highly adoptable dogs will be higher. Those fees help pay the vet services on less adoptable dogs that come in with high cost injuries or treatable illnesses. Our adoption fees also include sales tax. According to Texas law the fee is not a donation. All adopters must have spayed or neutered any current animals, provide vet information so shot history can be verified. Adopters who no longer want an animal are, required by the contract, to return the animal to A Doggie 4 You.
