Lima's Story

For those not familiar with her story, Lima and her sister Delta were found by Good Samaritan’s trying to cross a busy road in April. They were so starved and emaciated that they were in grave danger of full organ shut down, so we rushed them to the vet.

With good nutrition, and 8 small meals a day, their amazing fosters nursed them back to health and avoided Refeeding Syndrome (see our earlier post for details).

Lima is such a good girl! We think she is a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Plott Hound mix; this girl is all legs but only 33lbs. She LOVES other dogs and will definitely need a home where she can have fur siblings. She’s shy at first, but warms up and is the best cuddler!
