LilyBeth's Story

PARVO MOMMA UPDATE!!

Sweet Momma LilyBeth and her 4 puppies were pulled from a local shelter after 2 puppies had passed away. We were told this family had a severe case of worms but sadly once they arrived at our vet we realized it was much worse. Not only were they loaded with parasites but all 5 tested positive for the deadly parvo virus and were seriously ill. All 5 had to be hospitalized for the next week in ICU at the awesome Parkway Animal Hospital. After a week of around the clock care it’s finally safe to say they have BEAT PARVO! Momma LilyBeth appears to be a yellow lab mix around 3 years old. She came to us severely emaciated and has filled out nicely. Shes finally at healthy weight which is around 40-45 lbs. This girl was absolutely terrified at the shelter but she has warmed up so much in her foster mom. She still will coward down at first but she quickly comes around. She absolutely adores her foster mom and is much more comfortable around females than males. She doesn’t mind other dogs as long as they are not dominate to her. She is not a fan of cats. She doesn’t mind a crate and is super loving once she gets to know you. She’s very excitable. She loves kids but she doesn’t understand her size. She walks on a leash and loves to play. She will require a little extra patience but she is totally worth it. She is Utd, hw tested and will be spayed on 4/21 and then will be ready for her perfect forever home. We are taking apps on this sweet girl now.

All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs.

Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.

Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us . Do not contact Parkway Animal Hospital as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Thank you for your understanding.

ADOPTION APPLICATION

https://form.jotform.us/70898112177159
