Eight Paws is comprised entirely of volunteers, all who have separate daily jobs and careers. We are an efficient group of resourceful people, but please note that the timeline to complete these steps and processes will vary based on the availability of volunteers. Please be kind and patient as we are all working hard towards a common goal. We give every application we receive a large amount of attention. To find the perfect match for each dog, it is necessary to review every application several times on different occasions to ensure we don’t miss any important detail. If you are not selected as the adopter, please do not be discouraged as it does not mean that you are not qualified. While we may find an applicant suitable, it can sometimes be the case that the decision was made not to select a potential adopter due to them not being an ideal fit for the specific dog. It is also possible that another candidate who was found to be of equal suitability applied earlier. If you do not get selected for your initial adoption choice but want to apply for another dog, please email us (adopt@eightpaws.ca) to have your application directed towards an alternate dog. There is no need to fill out a new application. The owner was raising them to be sold to a dog meat seller. Fortunately, the rescuer was able to save her and her littler before they were sold. We have the honor of helping this beautiful girl on her journey which has been badly disrupted by a tragic situation that her previous owner put her in.<br/><br/>About Him/Her<br/>Lily deserves a loving home where she can see the beauty in this world, and where she can learn how to be a loving pet. She is a brave mom and cared for her puppies through such a terrible situation. Patience and time are key to gaining Lily’s trust and earning her heart. Lily is leaving her doggy shell more each day, thanks to her foster family. She is sweet, gentle, cautious, sweet towards her people, and is also playful and friendly with other dogs. Greeting new people shyly but gentle and politely. She is calm and mellow and has quite low energy. Lily loves going for walks and relaxing in the sun. She is highly intelligent and should thrive in a loving home that will patiently continue her socialization and bolster her self-esteem.
