Lily 's Story

Meet Lily 🐾
Lily is a tough-cookie-on-the-outside, marshmallow-on-the-inside kind of girl. She’s not the type to fall head-over-heels for every stranger she meets—in fact, she’ll make you earn her trust. But once you do? You’re her person for life. Her loyalty runs deep, and the bond you build with her will be something truly special.

This young pup (about 6–7 months old) is full of energy and loves to play—tug-of-war and a good game of chase are her absolute favorites. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine companion.

Lily can be a bit nervous in new environments and around unfamiliar people, so she’s looking for a calm, confident owner who can help guide her and show her the world isn’t such a scary place.

She does best with someone patient and steady who understands that building trust takes time—but is so worth it.
She’s already potty trained and crate trained (gold star, Lily ⭐), and she’s been spayed and is up-to-date on all her vaccines.

We’re not totally sure of her breed mix, but she may have some Dutch Shepherd or Kelpie in her—whatever she is, she’s smart, active, and full of personality! She’ll likely grow to be around 40–50 pounds.

Speaking of personality… Lily is quite the talker! She’s vocal and isn’t shy about sharing her opinions on what’s happening in her home.

Lily would do best in an active home, ideally without young children (older, dog-savvy kids could be a good fit). While she may be hesitant at first, she handles new situations better than you might expect—and with the right person by her side, she’ll only continue to grow in confidence.

If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and deeply devoted companion—and you’re ready to put in the time to earn her trust—Lily might just be your perfect match. 💛

Adoptions are $200 for adult dogs, $275 for puppies (under 5 months), $100 for adult cats, and $175 for kittens (under 5 months). We also have hero pets. These pets are a more desirable breed and their adoption fee is $300. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered (if they are too young an appointment will be made when they become of age). LPAH is a foster based rescue which means our animals are placed in a loving foster home while they wait to find their forever home! If you are interested in applying for any of our adoptable animals, please fill out an application at lpah.org/adoption or via the link on this page and we can set up a time for you to meet your potential new best friend! Because we are foster based, we only adopt out to the states of NC, SC, and VA. Puppies and kittens are a smaller adoption range, as they are required to have remaining vetting prior to adoption finalization. If interested in fostering for us, learn more at lpah.org/foster-for-us
