Lily's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Loyal Lily is an energetic happy girl who is looking for a calm home to spend the rest of her days! We think she is a terrier-lab mix, she has a beautiful medium-length coat. She is only around 40 pounds and is house trained and knows sit plus a few other basic commands. Lily is shy and will need to be introduced to strangers (dog and human kind) slowly but she is becoming more secure and has had several smooth introductions, especially if you take her for a nice walk first!

Being a terrier mix, Lily enjoys the thrill of the chase when it comes to small animals outside! She will do best in a home as either an only pet or with another laid back male dog that is around her size or smaller. She has plenty of love to share and fill your home with! Lily is one smart cookie and loves to be praised! Loud noises, sudden movement and storms have been scary for her in the past, she has done well over coming most fears with some positive reinforcement but storms can still be frightening for her. Families with young children may not be a good match for Lily at this time.

Lily's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and monthly preventatives, plus a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only. We look for applicants to have a demonstrated history of this as well as having kept current/former pets altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.
