Lilly's Story
Meet Lilly

Lilly is a sweet senior girl who has truly blossomed since leaving the shelter. This gentle soul loves nothing more than being close to her people. If she's cuddling with you, expect the front half of her body to be draped across your lap. She's happiest with a cozy sweater, a comfy bed, a good bone to chew on, and her favorite humans nearby.

Lilly is fully house-trained and can comfortably stay home during a typical 8-hour workday. She rarely barks (its just not her style!), walks beautifully on a leash without pulling, and is wonderful for baths and nail trims. She's also a foodie and usually takes her medications easily, especially if peanut butter or spray cheese is involved!

Lilly has limited vision and sees much better in bright sunlight than in shaded areas. When exploring a new home, she may need a little guidance at first to avoid bumping into doors or furniture, but she's a quick learner and adapts surprisingly fast. She can hop onto lower furniture by herself, but taller couches or getting into the car may require a little boost.

Lilly would do best as the only dog in the home, as she does not enjoy the company of other dogs. She has not been fully tested with cats. She also appreciates gentle handling around her back end, where she can be a bit sensitive.

If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion who will happily spend her days snuggled beside you, Lilly is ready to fill that role with all her heart. She's overcome so much and is ready to spend her golden years surrounded by the love she deserves.

Lilly is currently being fostered in Bloomington, Indiana through Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue. If you think she might be the perfect match for your family, we'd love to hear from you!
