You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi. My name is Lilly and I am a special girl. I came to A Doggie 4 You as a feral girl in 2018. I was trapped on the streets of San Antonio. When I went to the vet they determined I had heartworms. I thought I was a goner, but the nice people at the rescue treated me like I was part of a real family. They treated my heartworms and now I don't have them anymore. They even put me on a yearly heartworm preventative called ProHeart 12. The people at the rescue didn't have a clue what my breed was, so they took my picture and ran it through something they call a program. It said I am Berger Picard 81% and Scottish Terrier 12%. I was a real little stinker when I got here. You see I had never been handled before and I didn't know what kindness was. It's not easy living on the streets. Not everyone is nice. It took awhile, but I learned to trust the gang here at the rescue. I love going to the play yard with all of my friends and playing. We get to play twice a day in a large group of over 30 dogs. The rest of the time I get to live with my doggie family. I even learned to use a doggy door. I let my foster momma groom me when my hair gets unruly. I even tolerate the bath. I am going to need a family that will go slow with me and let me get to know you. I have a lot of love to give but I have trust issues. A Doggie 4 You's Adoption Policy

All dogs and puppies are fully vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, rabies, 3 DHpp, Bordetella and heartworm test/treat if positive). Potential adopters fill out an application, if it passes, they adopt the animal at a fee Our adoption fees start at $200. Fees are based on the age, sex, breed and at times the vet bills associated with the dog. The adoption fee on highly adoptable dogs will be higher. Those fees help pay the vet services on less adoptable dogs that come in with high cost injuries or treatable illnesses. Our adoption fees also include sales tax. According to Texas law the fee is not a donation. All adopters must have spayed or neutered any current animals, provide vet information so shot history can be verified. Adopters who no longer want an animal are, required by the contract, to return the animal to A Doggie 4 You.

Mission: To promote spay/neuter of pets, rescue dogs from kill facilities or unsafe environments rehabilitate and rehome the dogs to loving homes.
