Lilly's Story
UPDATE: As of 11/13/25, Lilly's adoption fee has been SPONSORED!

Meet Lilly! Lilly is approximately 1.5 years old. Her mom was a Black Labrador Retriever and her dad was a German Shepherd mix. She is a petite 45 lb. girl

Unfortunately, Lilly was removed from poor living conditions and did not have a good start in life. She experienced a lot of neglect and mistreatment. Despite all of the neglect she endured, she still absolutely loves humans!

Lilly is a very sweet & friendly dog! She has a nice moderate activity level, so we think she'd enjoy daily walking or exploring with her family, but she also enjoys basking in the sun or playing in her yard with a toy. She's still a puppy and loves to chew, so her new family should provide her with lots of positive enrichment to keep her mind satisfied. She would benefit from an owner who can also include her in continued training - she's very smart and will catch on quickly!

She keeps her kennel clean and is picking up on the potty routine here at the shelter, so we recommend that her new family utilize a crate to help with the next transition. This will also help keep her out of trouble, since she's still young! She does chew on her blanket, so it's recommended that she be kenneled without bedding (at least until she outgrows that)

Lilly is not recommended to live with cats, but should do well with children and most other dogs as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. She's such a loving, sweet dog who will definitely be a loyal addition to your family!

We are doing all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been approved.
Please fill out the following PDF Application and email to monroecountydogshelter@gmail.com
https://www.co.monroe.wi.us/home/showpublisheddocument/35564

Lilly is spayed & fully vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
