I’m Lilac! I aspire to be a pittie princess one day, but I just need the right family. I love my zoomies and to play rough. I don’t care what I bump into in the moment, but I’m also a sweet girl that will lean against you for hugs the moment you sit down.
Little kisses are my specialty. I am very affectionate with my human. The other dogs are a part of my pack. I love kids as I had some puppies of my own.
I need training in order to handle cats. I’m fascinated by them, and I certainly can’t say I understand them. I did fine with birds in my home until one day I knocked over their cage and everything went horribly wrong. My adopter then decided I wasn’t right for their family and sent me back to Purple PAWS.
I was originally brought in to the kill shelter as a stray along side Marigold. Purple PAWS pulled us both off the euthanasia list at different times due to the length of that list. I’ve been gaining wait ever since as I was badly underweight at first. I’m currently estimated at about 50 lbs.
I am still learning potty training. So far it has not been my strong suit. I’m better in the cage as I go, but I find it much easier to relax if another dog is in the cage next to me. I am leash trained and do well on walks.
My breed is widely misunderstood. As an American Staffordshire Terrier, I am considered a “pitbull.” Check with your city ordinances and with your landlord before applying.
