Lilac's heart is as big as her beautiful smile!<br/><br/>Lilac's story hasn't been easy - she was a terrified pup found wearing a rope around her neck running in a cornfield down south to being brought into rescue where she froze in fear. Now, she's learning what real love and care is and is ready for a brand new beginning.<br/><br/>This sweet girl is shy at first, but once she warms up, she's all love and wiggles. Her favorite things? Food, treats, ear scratches, lap time (or at least being right next to you), and playful wrestling with her foster family and their dog. <br/><br/>Lilac is doing wonderfully in foster care and continues to build confidence every day. She does best with gentle guidance, routine, and positive reinforcement, and she's eager to please once she feels safe. Because open spaces can still feel overwhelming, Lilac will need a patient adopter to help her become comfortable on walks at her own pace. Traveling would not be a good fit for her right now.
