Meet Lilac ! <br/><br/>Are you looking for a gentle soul who just needs a little time to blossom? Say hello to Lilac, a shy and tentative girl who is slowly learning that the world is a wonderful place — especially with the right humans by her side.<br/><br/>Lilac came out of her shell fastest with her foster brother, a resident male dog she absolutely adores. The two of them wrestle and play together, and watching her confidence grow through their friendship has been one of the best parts of fostering her. She still tends to be reserved with new people and situations, so she'll do best with patient adopters who let her come around at her own pace.<br/><br/>Give this girl a backyard and watch out — she turns it into her personal racetrack! She loves to run full speed with the wind in her ears, though she's still figuring out those long puppy legs and hasn't quite mastered the "stopping" part yet (we love her anyway). She's also still teething, so rawhides and stuffed toys are her favorite things in the world, and she'll happily entertain herself with them for hours.<br/><br/>On walks, Lilac is an absolute pro - she walks nicely on a leash and loves sniffing out every new smell and sight the world has to offer. She eats her wet and dry food twice a day like clockwork and absolutely lights up at treat time.<br/><br/>But where she really shines is at the end of the day. Lilac is a total velcro dog with her people — she loves staying close by and every night, she cuddles right into the pile with her family. If you're looking for a nighttime snuggle buddy, she's your girl.<br/><br/>A few honest notes: Lilac is almost fully house trained, with just occasional accidents, mostly overnight since she isn't yet kennel trained. With continued consistency (and maybe a little overnight confinement to one area), we expect she'll get there in no time.<br/><br/>If you have room in your home and your heart for a sweet, shy girl who just wants to run, cuddle, and grow more confident every day, Lilac would love to meet you. Could you be her forever family?<br/><br/>All puppies are in foster care and are not located in our office. Since all of our puppies are held in private foster homes, we look to have an approved application prior to sending someone to a private residence. If you are interested in adoption, please complete an application. Online applications are located on our H.O.P.E website @ www.hopesafehouse.org. <br/><br/>Upon approval of your application, we will contact you with the foster home phone number to arrange a meet and greet. There is no cost or obligation to apply.<br/><br/>*Basic obedience training classes are required for all puppies at an approved certified training facility of your choice. H.O.P.E. pays $50.00 towards the overall cost of classes. You will be required to leave a $100.00 deposit for training at time of adoption. This deposit is 100% refundable after completing the basic obedience class. <br/><br/>All puppies will be up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, spay/neutered*, microchipped and a 30-day health certificate. *If they are too young to be altered, the fee includes spay/neutered at one of our preferred clinics All pets have a lifetime return policy.<br/><br/>Thank you for your interest.
