Introducing Lil' Suzie, a gentle soul who blooms around other dogs!<br/><br/>Suzie is a sweet, silly girl who is still finding her confidence, and she's trying so hard to be brave. Around other dogs, she truly comes out of her shell. Her favorite thing in the world is curling up with a pup pal, and having a confident dog friend nearby helps her feel safe enough to show her playful, affectionate side.<br/><br/>She recently spent some time in a foster home, and it taught us a lot about what makes her happy. She slept soundly on the bed, loved spending time outdoors, and happily tagged along close by while her foster worked outside. As the day went on, she'd warm up more and more and start following him around the house. She does best when things move at her pace. Quick movements, loud noises, and new experiences can startle her, so she needs people who move slowly, speak softly, and let her come to them in her own time.<br/><br/>Suzie is polite with cats, rides well once she's in the car, and enjoys plush toys, Kongs, lounging, cuddling, and a good run in a safe yard. She knows sit and is getting the hang of walking on a harness.<br/><br/>Suzie's dream home has a confident, friendly resident dog to show her the ropes, a calm and quiet household, and a securely fenced yard. Most of all, she needs patient people who are excited to help her build trust, socialization, and the basics one small step at a time.
