Lieutenant Dani's Story
Meet Lieutenant Dani — the sweetest little mama, a 14-lb red-coated Chihuahua–Terrier mix who just happens to be a proud and fully capable tripod. She came to us with her adorable litter, who will all be adopted soon — now it’s finally her turn.

Dani was likely injured in an accident before arriving in rescue, resulting in the loss of a leg, but you would never know it by watching her navigate the world. She moves beautifully, keeps up just fine, and her spirit is completely untouched. Three legs are more than enough for this girl.

She is incredibly gentle, soft-natured, and affectionate. Dani loves fuzzy blankets to roll in, cozy lap time, easy car rides, and calm companionship. She doesn’t fully understand how to play yet, but she is learning what joy feels like one safe day at a time. Her sweetness is quiet, steady, and deeply endearing.

Dani is wonderful with dogs and kind with children, making her a lovely match for a family who values calm energy and lots of cuddles. She is doing very well with house training, continues to blossom daily, and is ready to know what it feels like to be someone’s cherished dog — not just a mama.

Her future is bright, her heart is gold, and she deserves a home that mirrors her gentleness.

Lieutenant Dani is ready to retire from motherhood and become the adored companion she was always meant to be.

First Step Is To Apply Now
[Apply Now](http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application)
For application updates, forwarding requests, or any questions, contact us at adopt@underdogca.com.
