Meet Licorice!<br/><br/>Licorice is an adorable 4-month-old Dachshund/Lab/Terrier mix weighing about 23 lbs (as of 2/13), and he’s as sweet as his name. With his soulful eyes and bright, curious mind, this handsome little guy has the perfect blend of playful puppy energy and wise old-soul charm.<br/><br/>He loves romping around with toys and his foster dog siblings, but once playtime is over, Licorice is more than happy to curl up for a cozy nap. He makes the perfect work-from-home companion and is friendly with dogs and people of all ages. Bonus: he travels wonderfully in the car and even on the subway!<br/><br/>Licorice is fully housebroken and pad trained. He’s a total smarty pants who learned “come,” “sit,” “paw,” and “no” in just a few days—and he’s eager to keep learning. He has no known dislikes, doesn’t resource guard, and hasn’t shown any unwanted behaviors. He has a healthy appetite and absolutely loves his treats—it’s impossible not to smile at his wiggly little body when he knows something tasty is coming! If he gets a bit too excited and jumps up, a gentle “no” redirects him easily—he truly wants to please.<br/><br/>While Licorice adores being with his people, he also does well when left alone and hasn’t been destructive in the home—quite impressive for such a young pup and a testament to his mature, easygoing nature.<br/><br/>Sweet, silly, and incredibly affectionate, Licorice is ready to be someone’s very best friend.
