Liberty's Story

With her big, soft, hopeful eyes and gentle demeanor, Libby is sure to steal your heart the moment you meet her. This sweet, joyful girl has come a long way-from struggling to find enough food to nurse her four pups, to now seeking love and affection from every kind soul she meets.

Libby weighs just under 40 lbs and is happily reclaiming her figure now that her mom duties are done. She's affectionate, responsive, and especially loves attention from people of all ages.

She gets along well with other dogs but would prefer a cat-free home. While she's still learning to trust leashes and tethers, Libby is making great progress walking on a loose leash and is now asking to be included in and enjoying daily walks.

She likes being in the house and close to people. She knows how to use a doggie door and has had no "potty accidents" in her foster home.

What she needs most is a patient, loving home where she can continue to fulfill her potential. With a little time, love, and understanding while Libby learns new rules in her new life, she will make her your "fur-ever" companion.

Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.

If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted.
