Libby's Story

Redheads can be a little spicy… and these two are no exception! 🌶️🐾
Let us introduce you to Lola and Libby, two adorable redheaded Chihuahuas who are as entertaining as they are sweet.

We believe Lola is likely Libby’s mom, and while they may not necessarily be a bonded pair, they truly enjoy each other’s company. They love to goof off and play, nap side-by-side, and of course cuddle up next to their humans too.

These girls were rescued from a heartbreaking situation in the Rio Grande Valley, where more than 60 dogs were being kept in a backyard hoarding situation. Despite their rough start, Lola and Libby have remained happy little spirits.

Both girls tested positive for heartworms, but the good news is that their treatment begins the first week of April and will be completed in May. They have already had their much-needed dentals, and Lola also had a fatty mass on her leg removed, so she’ll be all set for her new life.

If you’re looking for two fun little redheaded companions, these girls will keep you smiling.
