Liam's Story

Liam is a 6-year-old boy weighing approximately 22 pounds who has recently endured a heartbreaking loss after his owner passed away. He found himself in a high-kill shelter, but thankfully, we were able to bring him to safety.

Right now, Liam is understandably confused and a bit scared as he adjusts to all the sudden changes in his life. He would truly benefit from a calm, loving foster home where he can decompress, feel secure, and begin to rebuild trust. A home with a yard would be ideal, along with someone who is home most of the time to provide the comfort, consistency, and reassurance he needs.

Despite his uncertainty, Liam is a very sweet dog at heart. With patience, kindness, and understanding, his true personality is sure to shine. Given time and love, he has all the potential to become a devoted and wonderful companion.
If you have a quiet home and an open heart, fostering or adopting Liam could make all the difference in helping him heal—and you may just gain a loyal friend for life.

If you’re interested in adopting Liam, please complete an application on our website: www.greatpets.org. His adoption includes a vet exam, blood work, vaccinations, grooming, fecal exam, microchip, and flea treatment.

New Beginnings For Animals's Adoption Policy
Complete and submit the REQUIRED online adoption application first. If your application is approved you will be contacted soon to discuss your application and the pet you are interested in adopting in more detail. If the dog or cat seems like a good fit for your lifestyle and household, a meet-and-greet is arranged (including any other household pets and ALL family members). If there’s a love connection, we move on to the home check/official adoption with contract and medical records provided. Completing an application does not guarantee that you will be approved to adopt the animal applied for. If there is more than one application it is the policy of New Beginnings for Animals to match the applicant that is the best fit for the animal. We do not adopt on a first come, first serve basis. We strive to place each animal in a home that is best suited to their needs and the owner's expectations. We do not adopt outside of California.
