Lexi is a sweet 9-year-old Border Collie who arrived at our Sanctuary from an overcrowded shelter. After she gets to know someone her spirited nature makes her a wonderful companion. She enjoys car rides with volunteers and spending time with the people she feels safe with. Lexi would do best in an adults-only home, as well as being the only pet in the household. Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland's Adoption Policy

Why adopt a Senior Dog? Experienced, housebroken, settled down, loving and lovable, good with children, excellent company, non-judgemental - we could go on but you get the picture. Exceptions to everything listed? Sure, but all in all an experience you will never regret. First, come visit the dogs that interest you; we are open, by appointment, every day of the week from 10-3. Then complete our Adoption Application, which asks for personal references, your animals' Vet, information about your home environment and your agreement to allow us to do a home visit. Once approved, we will do a meet and greet with your family - including your four-legged family members. If all goes well, you welcome your pup into your home and your heart and you all become members of our extended Senior Dog Sanctuary family!
