Lexi's Story

Thank you so much for your interest in Lexi. She is a wonderful dog whom we rescued from a local shelter. She has been such a joy in foster careconfident, friendly, affectionate, and eager to connect with people.

Historically, we have not adopted dogs to homes outside of our standard coverage area. However, we have recently been reevaluating this policy and are now considering out-of-area applicants when we believe there is a strong match between the dog and the prospective adopter. Because we conduct virtual home visits, we are able to be more flexible with location requirements.

For adopters who live outside our coverage area, we do have a few additional requirements. The adopter must travel to the foster home to pick up the dog, and all members of the household must be present for the introduction and transfer. Lexi is currently being fostered in the Los Angeles area.

I wanted to make sure you were aware of these requirements before moving forward, and to see whether you are still interested in pursuing the adoption process and virtual home visit.

I also wanted to share some additional information about Lexi that her foster has provided in a question-and-answer format below.

I hope this information is helpful, and I look forward to hearing from you.
