Levin's Story

Levin is a handsome, energetic 2 year old terrier mix who is full of enthusiasm for life. He loves the simple things- his meal times, gnawing on a good bone, playing with toys, and cuddling. Levin wants nothing more than to curl up with his head on your lap for a peaceful nap.

He sleeps through the night in his crate, although he enjoys being invited up to bed in the mornings. Levin is house broken, but he is a little confused his first couple of days in a new place. His foster family is working with him on household manners. He is very food motivated and trainable! He’s picked up his foster home’s dog door and is able to go in and out as he likes.

Levin is good on leash! He’s strong but not a big puller and doesn’t stop to mark. He’s enjoyed walking with his foster sibling each morning. He’s very friendly with other dogs, although he is a powerful, playful boy so he needs a dog that can match him when playing. He’s a super chewer but has not bothered anything in his foster home, only his dedicated toys and bones. With structure, patience and plenty of love, Levin will make a fun and devoted companion in a home that can match his big personality and playful spirit.

-Good in the car

-Not reactive to storms

-Not a barker (besides a few minutes when he first goes into his kennel)

Levin has recently graduated from the 12 Week Puppies for Parole training program offered through the Mo Department of Corrections. While in training he was taught basic obedience and socialization skills. He has learned various commands such as sit, stay, paw, heel, etc ... and has acquired his good canine citizen honor.

If you are interested, complete the
Adoption Application
on our website at
www.NeedyPaws.org
and we will contact you.

Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Levin’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
