Letty 's Story

Meet Letty!
Letty is an 8 month old female Husky mix. Letty is a part of the "Fast Five Familia" litter that was dumped outside of Hays. Her four siblings have all moved on, so Letty is waiting for it to finally be her turn to find a forever home!
From the beginning Letty was one of the braver pups of the litter. She adjusted very well to shelter life, and has been super friendly with all of us. We have noticed, however, that she can be dominant with other dogs. She might not be a good fit for homes with other dominant canines, and we recommend a meet and greet with any dogs in the home to make sure it is a good fit. We have not seen Letty around cats or children, so we recommend meet and greets with them as well.
It seems like Letty hadn't received much or any training before arriving at the shelter - but she is an incredibly quick learner. While she isn't fully housebroken, she has learned the basics of keeping her kennel clean and will likely just need a brush-up. She was initially afraid of walking on a leash, but she is now handling it very well. With some patience and dedication, she will shape up to be a great dog!
Letty is also a very active girly. Potential owners need to be dedicated to burning off excess energy. That said, Letty is very good about playing independently as well. She would benefit from a fenced yard and plenty of toys to entertain herself with. Stuffed ones are her very favorite, and she will prance merrily with her prize and play keep away with it if you try to snatch it from her.
If you think Letty may be pup of your dreams, stop by the shelter to meet her and see if it's a match! Or give us a call for more information about this dog or our adoption process.
